Late Thursday morning, court observers were shocked when a verdict escaped the jury room, slapped an assistant district attorney in the face, stuck its tongue out at the judge and ran out of the courtroom.    One observer noted, "I've never seen such an angry piece of paper in my life."  The defendant was acquitted several minutes later after the jury prepared another written verdict.

The assistant district attorney was treated and released from the Perry Hospital for a "nasty paper-cut."  Legal experts say that it is extremely rare for verdicts to come to life and attack prosecutors.

As you probably know, this site is a little thing we like to call satire, it is not the Houston Home Journal nor is it District Attorney Kelly Burke's site.  It is however dedicated to illustrating the surreal nature of life with King Kelly, DA of  Houston County.  If you need this footnote to tell you this, you either rode the short bus to school or you are Kelly Burke.    This site was created on a private computer in a private home, on a private internet connection, to a privately owned domain.
